Pre-Order Management
Sell Before You Stock
Bulktify pre-order management lets wholesale distributors accept orders for out-of-stock or upcoming products before inventory arrives. Set stock thresholds, track pre-order status through fulfillment stages, notify retailers automatically when products become available, and sync pre-order data with Shopify and WooCommerce.
How Bulktify Pre-Orders Work
From product listing to fulfilled pre-order in four steps
Enable Pre-Orders
Mark products as available for pre-order and set expected availability dates and stock thresholds.
Retailers Place Orders
Retailers order pre-order products through their portal. Orders are flagged as pre-orders with estimated fulfillment dates.
Stock Arrives
When inventory arrives, pre-orders transition to ready-to-ship status. Retailers are notified automatically.
Fulfill & Sync
Process pre-orders with priority fulfillment. Status syncs to Shopify and WooCommerce in real time.
Why Wholesalers Use Bulktify Pre-Orders
Capture demand before stock arrives and streamline fulfillment scheduling
Capture Early Demand
Accept orders for upcoming or out-of-stock products. Retailers commit early, giving you accurate demand forecasts before inventory arrives.
Separate Stock Tracking
Pre-order inventory is tracked independently from regular stock. Set thresholds and expected dates without affecting current availability.
Automated Status Updates
Pre-orders move through awaiting_stock, partially_ready, and ready_to_ship stages. Each transition triggers retailer notifications automatically.
Rules Engine Integration
Pre-order products work with the full rules engine — quantity breaks, customer group pricing, visibility controls, and payment terms all apply.
Priority Fulfillment
When stock arrives, pre-orders are prioritized for fulfillment. First-ordered retailers ship first, with automated scheduling.
Platform Sync
Pre-order status syncs bidirectionally with Shopify and WooCommerce. Connected stores reflect availability changes in real time.

Pre-Order Configuration & Stock Thresholds
Bulktify lets you enable pre-orders on any product with configurable stock thresholds and expected availability dates. When a product's stock falls below the threshold — or when you're launching a new product — retailers can place orders in advance through their portal. Pre-order stock is tracked separately from regular inventory, so current availability isn't affected. Set maximum pre-order quantities per retailer or customer group to manage allocation.
Status Tracking & Retailer Notifications
Pre-orders in Bulktify move through three stages: awaiting_stock (inventory not yet received), partially_ready (some items available for fulfillment), and ready_to_ship (all items in stock and ready to go). Each status transition triggers automated email notifications to the retailer. Admins track all pre-orders from a dedicated dashboard showing status breakdown, expected dates, and fulfillment priority. Retailers view their pre-order status from their portal.
Fulfillment Scheduling & Platform Sync
When pre-order inventory arrives, Bulktify prioritizes fulfillment based on order date — first-ordered retailers ship first. The system handles partial fulfillment when stock arrives in batches, automatically splitting orders and notifying affected retailers. Pre-order status syncs bidirectionally with Shopify and WooCommerce, so connected stores reflect availability changes in real time. Combined with the rules engine, pre-orders support customer group pricing, quantity breaks, and visibility controls.
